Sting to perform at gala benefitting Old Vic Endowment Fund, founded by Kevin Spacey and Sir Michael Hintze

The Evening Standard reports that Sting and Annie Lennox will perform at a gala to mark the end of Kevin Spacey’s 11-year tenure as artistic director of the Old Vic.

The gala will raise funds for the Old Vic Endowment Fund, which was founded by Spacey and Sir Michael Hintze to help secure the long-term future of the venue.

The Old Vic recently published an interview with Sir Michael, in which he discussed his passion for the arts and for giving back:

‘Art is the salt of life,’ Hintze says. ‘It’s one of those things that makes life worth living. That’s why, in addition to educational, health, religious and military charities, we’ve always been drawn to supporting the performing arts.’
